week six (a haiku)

i dig my fingers in dirt
she digs into you
my gaze betrays my smile

yeah, this is the first haiku i've read in a while that didn't strike me as absurd. congratulations, it was good.

it's an american haiku, riles. according to jack kerouac, who credited himself with inventing the genre, american haikus don't need to follow the numbers. his don't. i have a book of them.
